Product Details
+A lovely pair of hanging gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is hand crafted in 15kt yellow gold (indicating English origin) and is beautifully decorated with fine Etruscan wirework and beadwork. The 3-dimensional design is comprised of a hollow gold ball that hangs below an open bell. A delicate gold spear dangles freely from the bottom. At the top is a small hand-shaped surmount attached to a simple earring wire. Very light and comfortable to wear, the earrings frame the face beautifully when worn and would make a special addition to any Victorian collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 7/8" long and measures 1/2" at the widest and thickest point.
Condition: The earrings have some signs of surface wear and minor damage due to age, but remain in wearable condition. There are a few very tiny dings and dents to the gold surface, and a small puncture on the back of one earring. Fortunately, this is not noticeable when worn, and does not detract from the beauty and character of the antique design.
