+Gorgeous arrow-shaped diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, these lovely earrings form the shape of an downward pointing arrow with a decorated shaft. Each elongated link begins with the arrow's fletching which adorns curled Etruscan rope detail, polished beads, and a scalloped edge, giving the appearance of whimsical feathers. Resting in the center of each is a high-prong set old Mine Cut diamond, that weighs approximately 0.10ct (0.20ctw collectively), sparkling beautifully with every turn. A polished gold arrowhead emerges from the end, perfectly complimenting the richly darkened patina surface and finishing the look are simple gold wires. When worn, the lightweight earrings dangle with lovely movement and frame the face nicely. A fabulous and romantic design, these earrings would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2" long in total length and measure 3/8" wide and are about a 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings are excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the diamonds, both of which are secure and intact. There is a natural darkened patina to parts of the gold surface, however this is normal due to the age of the piece and adds to it's beauty and character.
